Cindy will be here in the afternoon, and the gallery will stay open until 7:30 p.m. Her original paintings will be available for sale starting at $175. Cindy works in oils, but sometimes starts paintings with acrylics to speed things up. She captures the Sedona vibe perfectly with her impressionistic style. Her Monet-like lily pond paintings are also inspired by the lily pond on top of Airport Mesa. Throughout human history, when the world plunges into the darkest time of year, we have turned to meditation and storytelling. The quiet space of winter provides a moment to reflect on these important practices. At Honshin Fine Art, we will witness the living wisdom present in the sacred symbols of the Maya and Coptic Christianity, as portrayed in Nicholas Kirsten-Honshin’s work. Then, we will flow into traditional symbols of other spiritual practices with a talk on nature, art and science. Come experience the living wisdom of the season. Ongoing event: On the First Friday each month join Honshin Fine Art in Tlaquepaque for the gallery’s special music and spoken word event “Words Falling from the Sky in the Present Moment the Good News From Sedona!” This free event focuses on art, science and nature.
