May is that special month of the year when we begin the transition out of spring into the warmth and joy of summer. In nature, the breeding season is past, and a new generation of creatures are being welcomed into life on planet Earth. A special light falls over the Earth as the sun makes its appearance in the morning and flowers bloom. Life is good and gentle.

Photo 2: A family of Canada Geese is viewed near an island in Lake Pleasant. The adults stay with the newly hatched goslings as they grow and teach them what is necessary for survival.
