FRIENDS OF THE FOREST
Celebrating its 25th anniversary, Friends of the Forest is dedicated to maintaining, protecting and restoring the scenic beauty of our National Forest lands in the Sedona area for the enjoyment and use of present and future generations. Friends of the Forest provides the Red Rock Ranger District of the U.S. Forest Service with over 35,000 hours of volunteer services annually and a total of approximately 500,000 since its founding in 1994.
GARDENS FOR HUMANITY
Gardens for Humanity’s mission is to develop and share its relationships with humanity and nature through gardening, art and education. Founded in 1996, Gardens for Humanity has worked for ecological education to help give children and community members the values, tools and experiences needed to seek and regain balance with the natural world.

HUMANE SOCIETY OF SEDONA
Serving the Verde Valley since 1966, the Humane Society of Sedona is dedicated to improving the lives of pets in our community and beyond. As a no-kill shelter, no healthy animal or animal with a treatable behavior or medical condition will ever by euthanized. Humane Society of Sedona has helped 468 pets (including adoptions and strays returned to their owner) so far in 2019.

HUMMINGBIRD SOCIETY
The Hummingbird Society was created in 1996 as a nonprofit organization to help people understand and appreciate hummingbirds and to provide a channel to help save endangered ones. Next year’s festival is tentatively scheduled for July 31-Aug. 2, 2020, and will include three days of presentations, garden tours, exhibits and birding trips.

SEDONAKIND
SedonaKind’s mission is to encourage acts of kindness, large and small, locally and around the world and is the proud recipient of the 2019 Spirit of Sedona Nonprofit of the Year Award. SedonaKind meets the third Friday of each month from September to May at the Sedona Community Center at 2 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend. The organization has put up 13 gratitude trees and benches in honor of Sedona Kindness Day on Nov. 13. The trees will be up until New Year’s. The benches are permanent.

VERDE VALLEY IMAGINATION LIBRARY
The Verde Valley Imagination Library is dedicated to improving early childhood literacy by promoting and funding Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library for children living in the Verde Valley, ages birth to five. Each enrolled child receives a book every month, with their name on it, mailed directly to their home, with the goal of helping parents inspire a love of books and reading starting in infancy.
