Sedona Pizza Company is well known for its Neapolitan-style pizzas. We’ve been enjoying them ever since this spot opened back in 2013. One of our favorite patios in town is the expansive, dog-friendly one here. Dogs even get their own special menu. Inside, the well-lit wood bar gleams and is accented by dark wood chairs with blue seat covers – possibly intended to bring out the blue of an image of a beach on one wall. We kicked off our latest visit with some Spinach & Artichoke Dip. We delighted in dipping crispy bread into this savory, creamy appetizer. The Garlic and Cheese Focaccia was our next order. The soft, fresh baked focaccia was topped with melted mozzarella and served with one jar of marinara and another of olive oil—great accompaniments for sure.
For the main course, we had to opt for the Neapolitan style pizza. All of the pizzas come with choice of San Marzano tomato sauce, pesto, BBQ, garlic ricotta or an oil base. When we’re searching for a classic option we’d go for the Margherita, topped with basil, house-made Tuscan olive oil, fresh mozzarella and tomato sauce. We love the crispy crust here. It always tastes fresh – likely due to the dough that’s made in-house daily. The Bianco is what we order when we want to change things up a bit. This white pie is topped with garlic ricotta, spinach, fresh mozzarella, artichoke, chicken and drizzled with aged balsamic for a sweeter taste that complements the rest of the savory ingredients. The pizzas are all stellar, but so all are the pastas. The Shrimp Scampi is one of top entrees here. Ribbon pasta is tossed with shrimp, Roma tomatoes, lemon, basil, minced garlic and a white wine butter sauce. The dish is airy and fresh – an ideal order when you want a lighter option.
Don’t pass up dessert here. Each one is served with whipped cream, fresh berries and chocolate sauce. Our personal favorite is the decadent and light Tiramisu. This traditional, multi-layered dessert is an ideal way to cap off a meal here and represents the best of Italian fare: comforting, crowd-pleasing and satisfying. − A Sedona Foodie
