Cornville’s Brewha Social Eatery & Market has generated quite a buzz and rightly so. For starters, we love the modern vibe at this excellent casual spot. The light-filled space located on Page Springs Road just off of AZ-89A features high ceilings, chic and comfortable couches coupled with a bar lined with black barstools. You can pop in for a grab-and-go item or stay a while and linger over a cocktail. It’s a fabulous place to spend some time and has plenty to offer in terms of atmosphere and food and craft cocktails. It’s owned by Shelly Altman and was also the perfect place to feature in our annual women’s issue.
If you’re short on time, you can order a potato, egg, hatch green chili and cheese burrito or a cinnamon roll to go. If you’ve got time to stay, brunch is served daily. Our personal favorite brunch option is the hearty Morning Sandwich, a fried egg, bacon, roasted green chili, grilled muenster cheese and tomato served on a thick slice of country toast. Pair your morning fare with one of the stellar espresso-based drinks. We can never get enough of the New Mexican Mocha – a sweet and spicy hot mocha served with a dash of hatch red chili.
Starting at noon, guests can enjoy a variety of small, sharable dishes. Whatever you order though, don’t miss the Brewha Bread. This hearty country loaf is topped with three types of melted cheeses seasoned with garlic and butter and then served with a marinara dipping sauce. It proved to be a tasty, irresistible starter. Next up, we had the savory Hatch Chili Hand Pies. This delectable pie is filled with stellar ingredients like the grass-fed beef sautéed with roasted hatch green chili, smothered in Monterey jack cheese and baked in a flaky puff pastry. The entire delicious concoction was served with salsa and a chorizo gravy dipping sauce. Finally, the cocktail menu is of some note. We settled on the Nectar of the Gods, a blend of gin, fresh lemon and honey. The drink was simple, yet elevated and excellent, just like all the menu items at Brewha. − A Sedona Foodie
