The World’s Oldest Rodeo (that started way back in 1888) in Prescott has returned with a plethora of lively events. From June 28 to July 4, see eight varying rodeo performances at the Prescott Rodeo Grounds. Watch traditional rodeo and see cowboys and cowgirls rope horses and perform other tricks. Other activities include the Rodeo Days Fine Arts & Crafts Show on July 2 to 4 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Courthouse Plaza in downtown Prescott and a Rodeo Parade on July 2 at 9 a.m. in downtown Prescott. This year’s rodeo also honors the 50th anniversary of the classic 1972 film “Junior Bonner.” The Steve McQueen film centers around a rodeo rider who returns to his hometown of Prescott. Watch the flick on June 27 at the Prescott Rodeo Grounds starting at 8 p.m. Attendees must carry clear bags, new this year. Ticket prices start at $15.
