City of Sedona’s Wet Fest. July 4, noon-4 p.m.

Here’s how to celebrate Independence Day in Northern Arizona: Head to the Sedona Community Pool for a lively atmosphere complete with face painting, a DJ, activities, games, a photo booth and inflatable water slides for all ages at the City of Sedona’s Wet Fest on July 4. The event is from noon to 4 p.m. Swimming attire is required. No alcohol or pets are allowed. Food and drinks will be available for purchase from food trucks. Parade in Downtown Flagstaff. July 4, 9 -11 a.m.

Flagstaff is also commemorating Independence Day with a slew of events. On July 3 and 4, see handmade art, meet the artists and enjoy live music at Flagstaff Art in the Park at Wheeler Park. Visit Pepsi Amphitheater at Fort Tuthill Park at 2 p.m. to watch the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra perform its annual “A Flag Fourth” concert. Bring lawn chairs and sunscreen. See a Parade in Downtown Flagstaff from 9 to 11 a.m. From July 1 to 4, watch a laser light show as part of Lights on the Lawn Flagstaff at the Continental Country Club. Admission is free.
