Arizona State Parks are open on Jan. 1, 2021 for First Day Hikes. If you want to kick the new year off with some exercise, consider paying a visit to Sedona’s Red Rock State Park or Slide Rock State Park. Cottonwood’s Dead Horse Ranch State Park also will be open. Parks will still have COVID-19 restrictions in place, reducing parking lot and park capacity and encouraging social distancing. Be sure to call ahead before you head out.
