Pump House Station & Urban Eatery

Pump House Station

The Pump House Station used to be a home filled with memories. It’s now a restaurant decorated with timeless treasures and furnished with Sedona history. Tucked away in Tlaquepaque North, this urban eatery is nestled between the sycamore trees. The front porch, with seating for guests, overlooks a portion of the quaint arts and crafts village. The back patio is the perfect gathering spot during warmer months and is pet-friendly.

There is a rustic charm to the Pump House Station that makes you feel right at home. The restaurant and its décor is the vision of owner, Belynda Greene, who has collected antiques and found objects for years – each eclectic piece with a story of its own.

Accolades go to Chef Cord Chatham, whose culinary approach and presentation of food are outstanding. The Pump House menu reflects Chef Cord’s love of food and focuses on fresh organic, sustainable foods whenever possible. For breakfast, try the eggs benedict, crepes with Nutella or the urban burrito. The avocado toast receives the most accolades. Prepared with a sunny side up egg, tomatoes, basil, arugula, lemon, olive oil and sea salt – it’s delicious.

For lunch, the roasted mushroom soup is an excellent place to start. Chunky pieces of mushrooms in a cream base and layered with a drizzle of truffle oil – it’s to die for! The salads are all good as are the sandwiches – try the Pumphouse Club. For dinner, begin with the Noble Bread appetizer. Our favorite is the burrata, with pesto, tomatoes, arugula, bacon and a balsamic glaze. Chef Cord Chatham changes this selection daily. For the main entrée, check the daily specials first. Other favorites: Crispy Skin Red Trout, Beef Filet, the Spiced Southwestern Blackened Salmon and the Beet Wellington. For dessert, Chef’s Apple Tart served in a warm iron skillet and topped with ice cream will seal the deal. – A Sedona Foodie
