Arizona Copper Art Museum
The Arizona Copper Art Museum is dedicated to showcasing a variety of items crafted out of one of the four C’s of Arizona: copper. The museum houses more than 5,000 pieces of copper in the former Clarkdale High School building. Open daily, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission: $9.75 for adults, $8.75 for seniors aged 60 and older, $3.50 for youths aged 10 to 17, $1.25 children ages five to nine. • 849 Main St. in Clarkdale (928-649-1858)
Sedona Heritage Museum
Permanent and rotating exhibits on local history and pioneers. Open daily, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission: $10 with audio, $7 self-guided • 735 Jordan Road at Jordan Historical Park (928-282-7038)
Sharlot Hall Museum
An open-air museum featuring exhibits on the history of Central Arizona. This museum was opened in 1928 by Sharlot M. Hall. Closed Mondays. Seasonal hours: May-September, Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday, noon to 4 p.m.; October-April, Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Sunday, noon to 4 p.m. Admission: $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and kids ages 12 and older. Verde Valley Archaeology Center and Museum
At the Verde Valley Archaeology Center and Museum in Camp Verde, visitors can learn all about the vibrant history of Northern Arizona via artifacts like ceramics and textiles. Many of the objects on display are from excavations or donations. The museum also houses a special collection by iconic Western painter Paul Dyck, who resided in Rimrock for many years. The museum also features a kid’s adventure room, a Native American Heritage Parkway and Garden and a library. Open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission: $10 for adults ages 18 to 64, $5 for seniors ages 65 and older, free for students 18 and under with ID. • 460 W.
