Haunted Hamburger 30th Anniversary Celebration

THE HAUNTED HAMBURGER CELEBRATES 30 YEARS OF SPOOKS, HAUNTINGLY-GOOD FOOD, AND MILE-HIGH VIEWS

The Haunted Group hospitality group, known for putting Jerome and Cottonwood “on the map” as Northern Arizona tourism destinations, announces that its flagship restaurant, The Haunted Hamburger, will celebrate its 30th anniversary on May 3, 2024. The anniversary will be marked with menu specials, birthday cake for all patrons, and an opportunity to purchase limited edition merchandise in honor of the occasion.

Opened on May 3, 1994, The Haunted Hamburger is a centerpiece of the revitalization of the mountain town of Jerome. Perched on Cleopatra Hill high above the Verde Valley, The Haunted Hamburger boasts mile-high views, delicious food, and “boos.”

The Haunted Hamburger, the first of husband-and-wife ownership duo Eric and Michelle Jurisin’s restaurant ventures in the Verde Valley, was an instant success. The Jurisins purchased the dilapidated Jerome Palace building, renovated it themselves, and opened the restaurant with only one cook (Michelle, herself) in 1994. From these humble beginnings has grown a thriving tourist destination. Fans now scale the town’s “heart attack stairs” year after year to visit this spirited establishment, which features a menu of traditional American fare. Unmatched Verde Valley views and a host of happy haunts make The Haunted Hamburger a favorite for Phoenicians, locals, and travelers alike.

To celebrate The Haunted Hamburger’s milestone anniversary, the Jurisin family invites patrons to join them and the building’s spirited inhabitants for a throwback special: “Palace Margaritas” will run just $1.99 all day. Guests will also be treated to complimentary birthday cake and perhaps a ghost sighting. Special edition merchandise will be available to celebrate the anniversary, while supplies last.

The Haunted Hamburger is open 11am-9pm daily. The anniversary celebration will be held at The Haunted Hamburger from 11am-9pm on Friday, May 3, 2024.
