Celebrate the history of Posse Grounds Park with the City of Sedona’s Parks and Recreation department during the Sedona Family Foot Rodeo. The event takes place at the lower softball field at Posse Grounds Park on Aug. 17 from 4 to 7 p.m. The park was once the location of the Coconino Sheriff’s Posse rodeo grounds. The posse held weekly rodeos where the softball field is now located. The August event includes bounce-horse barrel racing, mechanical-bull riding, dummy-calf roping, inflatable-cow milking, pony rides, a petting zoo, live music and entertainment by The Red Rock Posse.
