Blaze is a big senior dog who is looking for a family to settle in with! Blaze was surrendered to the Humane Society of Sedona last September when his owner could no longer keep him. He is an older dog, but is still young at heart! He’s almost 9 years old and 100 pounds of LOVE! He is gentle and loving, and really just wants a place to spend his golden years. He can be a little shy when he first meets you, but once he knows you, he will flash you that big smile of his and if you’re lucky, he’ll even give you a hound dog HOWL! He is a very goofy guy who isn’t always aware of his size. He makes everyone at the shelter laugh with his hilarious personality. Blaze spent a little time in foster care and does well with other dogs with a proper introduction. Some dogs can be a little intimidated by his size and big personality, so a slow introduction is best! Blaze enjoys going for short and slower walks and would really love a home with a yard. If you have a dog at home, we always recommend a meet and greet. Blaze did come from a home with older children, but would probably be too large to exist in the same space as small children. He is fixed, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccines. If you are interested in meeting Blaze, give the Humane Society of Sedona a call at 928-282-4679!
