Gemstone is a gorgeous 2-year-old dog who was brought to the Humane Society of Sedona when she was found as a stray. Not much is known about her past, but Gem is a sensitive girl who just needs time to feel safe. She may seem guarded at first, but that’s simply her taking care as she learns to trust the people she meets. With slow movements and a gentle, soft voice (and maybe a couple of treats) her walls begin to come down, and that smile begins to shine, just like the gemstone she is! Once she knows and trusts you, she is quite playful! Her goofy personality comes out when she plays fetch (her favorite game). She walks well on leash and is really just a wonderful dog who is ready for a new chapter. Gemstone would thrive in a patient, understanding home that allows her to move at her own pace. In return for kindness and consistency, she offers quiet loyalty and a sweet, gentle kind of love. She is both people and dog selective, so the shelter recommends a meet and greet with the whole family. Gemstone is fixed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccines. Her adoption fee has been generously sponsored. If you are interested in meeting Gemstone, please call the Humane Society of Sedona at 928-282-4679 and set up an appointment to meet her.
