Kenyan native and Flagstaff resident Sharon Lokedi beat the women’s course record for the Boston Marathon – often considered to be one the most prestigious road races in the world. Her official time was a course record 2:17:22. She’s the first woman to ever run this race in such a short period of time. She also won the New York City Marathon in 2022.
