Sophia is a gorgeous senior Calico cat who is in need of a new home to spend her golden years. She was recently surrendered to the Humane Society of Sedona when her previous home could no longer care for her due to health issues. She has been quite shy since she’s been at the shelter, but is slowly coming out of her shell! She recently had a dental at the shelter and is already feeling so much better. Even though she has been slow to explore at the shelter, she does love when volunteers and staff come to visit her in the safety of her room & cubby. She allows cheek scratches and goes bananas for treats! She may be 12 years old, but Sophia has a lot of life and love left in her. She does have hyperthyroidism, which is fairly common in older cats, and she will need to stay on medication for this diagnosis. The HSS animal care team is happy to teach her prospective family how to best care for her (super easy!). Sophia is an all around wonderful kitty companion who just wants a warm and loving home where she feels safe. She is fixed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccines.
