Sedona and Northern Arizona offer a rich history of Earth and the remarkable art forms that the geology of the area has inspired. Artists who excel in every media visit and many, like myself, cave to the siren call and make it our permanent home. You can see so much of the Earth’s history here. Find it in forests, rivers and lakes, thousands of volcanic cones, canyons and Earth ruptured by earthquake. The erosion that forms incredible sculptures out of the red rocks of Sedona. It is no wonder that so many artists come here. It’s refreshing for the soul!
Using my cameras, I try to capture the beauty this area has to offer. I have spent thousands of hours flying above this beautiful terrain and roaming the land and the waters of our lakes and hiked along the streams in search of beauty. It makes you appreciate how special the area is.
I delight in sharing the beauty of the area as filtered through my lens, eyes and mind. I’m following the hundreds of other artists who have chosen to capture this very special area in images, sculptures, music and the spoken word.
Enjoy the beauty. We are surely blessed. Photo 1 (Featured at the top of this page): An aerial view across the Painted Desert looking towards the Southwest.
