Mitzie & Snookie are two of the sweetest senior kitties ever! They arrived at HSS in late March and are still here awaiting a fresh start. They were surrendered to HSS when their guardian passed away and were understandably very shy and shut down upon arrival. Both Mitzie and Snookie spent most of their time hiding for the first couple months at the shelter. It has taken months of love and affection from the staff and volunteers at HSS to gain their trust, but these two kitties were worth the wait! They have truly blossomed here at the shelter and they both love to be loved.
Mitzie is a 9-year-old tortie cat with the most unique coloring! Even though she still hides under a bench in her room, she welcomes head scritches and cheek rubs! After a few minutes of affection, Mitzie will come out from hiding and let you see how lovely she is. She loves to roll around while you talk to her and makes the best biscuits around! Snookie is a 7-year-old white kitty with unique black markings. He was the shyer of the two initially, but Snookie is a social butterfly now! He follows you around the room, asking for treats and pets. He loves to be brushed and has the biggest purr you’ll ever here! He’s a big boy with a little wonky ear, and his cheeks are to die for!
Snookie and Mitzie lean on each other for support – they are a bonded pair who cannot be separated. They have been through the ups and downs of life together, and we don’t plan to split them up now! Both kitties fixed, microchipped and up to date on their vaccines. Please help us find a home for them! Call the shelter at 928-282-4679 between 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. to make an appointment to meet them!
