Featured Pet of the Month: Orange Julius

Orange Julius

Orange Julius (OJ for short!) is a very sweet and affectionate cat who is looking for a home. OJ was transferred to the Humane Society of Sedona from a local rescue partner and he has been waiting for his forever family to find him for over three months now. OJ is a one-year-old orange tabby cat who absolutely loves people! It’s nearly impossible to sit in his room without him cozying up with you or hitching a ride on your shoulders if you let him! OJ has such a big personality and an adventurous spirit. His playful energy is so much fun to be around, and his lust for life is unmatched. He is such a sweet kitty and loves his people very much. He will make a loving and entertaining companion for years to come, we have no doubt!

OJ is also an FIV+ kitty. FIV is a chronic condition, but that doesn’t stop him from living life to the fullest! OJ is healthy and thriving and HSS is determined to keep it that way. Finding a family who will support him and his special health needs is a must! HSS encourages any potential adopter to learn about this condition and talk to one of our cat experts on how you can best care for cats like OJ (start by checking out this link: https://resources.bestfriends.org/article/fiv-and-felv-faqs. OJ is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his vaccines. It can be hard for FIV+ cats to find a home due to misconceptions of the diagnosis. And truly the stigma is the worst part of the illness. Please help us find a family willing to take the time to learn the facts, meet OJ, and fall in LOVE! Call the shelter at 928-282-4679 between 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. to make an appointment to meet this special guy!
