Featured Pet of the Month: Harriet

Harriet

Harriet is a very sweet senior dog who is need of a family. She is about 10 years old and was brought to the Humane Society of Sedona as a stray. She arrived very much in need of medical attention. She had advanced dental problems, a huge mass on her side that was limiting her mobility, and another (painful) mass on her backside. Our amazing vet and medical team took great care of her and she’s healing now. However, it was recently discovered that Harriet does have cancer, and it’s unclear how much time she has left. While not much is known about her history, Harriet would be most comfortable in a quiet home where she can decompress, relax, and find comfort and love. She does like to go on walks and gets quite excited about it, even if she can’t walk very far. It’s unknown how she will do with other animals, but she did get to meet a couple of young pups at the shelter and did fine with them. If you have a furry friend, a meet and greet is always recommended! Harriet is fixed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccines. She deserves to spend her remaining time on earth with compassionate people who love her. Please call HSS (928-282-4679) between 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. to schedule an appointment to meet her.

(Spayed Female, Mixed Breed, Current on all vaccinations and microchipped, Age: 10 years, Weight: 52lbs, Arrived at shelter: 9/1/24, Adoption Fee: $50)
