The Sedona Heritage Museum will host a variety of programming in January and February. On Jan. 12 at 10 a.m. as part of “Living History,” Neil Weintraub will speak about the history of the Beale Wagon Road, the first federally funded wagon road in the United States. He will focus on the road that crossed Kaibab National Forest. On Feb. 2 for “Throwback Thursday,” watch reenactors bring historical Sedona figures to life around the museum at 3:30 p.m. “See” artist Dorothea Tanning, town namesake Sedona Schnebly, ranch wife Patty Fox and orchardists Walter and Ruth Jordan. Adult tickets cost $15. On Feb. 9, as part of Living History, watch “Geronimo: Liberty or Death, that was the Question.” Jerry Geronimo Martin has a fascination with his great grandfather, Geronimo, a medicine man of the Chiricahua tribe of the Apaches. Martin has new discoveries about Geronimo’s life that he will share via reenactment. Enjoy cake in honor of this city’s namesake’s birthday on Feb. 24.
