Best-selling author and 2019 Templeton Prize Nominee Gregg Braden will be coming to Sedona to speak at the Embracing Bliss 2019 festival. (You may remember him as the author of “Human by Design: From Evolution by Chance to Transformation by Choice,” “The God Code” and “Fractal Time.”)
What will you be speaking about in Sedona?
I will be speaking about how to awaken the potential within ourselves as well as teaching the techniques of thinking differently in ways that will empower us. We simply have lost or forgotten our potential. If we can embrace these human characteristics, the things that separate us for any other form of life, we become better people. We have the ability to heal our bodies – it’s not a mystical, magical thing – this is an internal technology that we are wired for rejuvenation, healing and much more.
Why is it that not everyone believes in this way of thinking?
You and I are the product of a story. We are steeped in the story of separation, powerlessness, completion, conflict. A lot in the world is based on Darwinian ideas, and the new discoveries are telling us those stories are no longer valid. So it’s not that people don’t believe; people need to be given a good reason to change their belief. I think that when the facts are clear, our choices become apparent.
What is it that you love about Sedona?
We are neighbors. I live in the high desert of New Mexico, and we share a lot culturally. Obviously, the land is powerful and also the people. The people of Sedona come from all over the world, and they are there for a reason. It is a hub of new discoveries, learning and understanding. New ways of living are being pioneered in Northern Arizona, and Sedona is a hub for that − plus I get to see all my friends.
