Nothing announces the start of the holiday season like Sedona Chamber Ballet’s presentation of Phoenix Ballet’s The Nutcracker. The timeless performance takes place Dec. 1 at 2 and 7 p.m., and Dec. 2 at 2 p.m. at the Sedona Performing Arts Center. The production includes professional sets, costumes and acclaimed dancers from the Phoenix Ballet dancing in principal roles alongside northern Arizona talent. The professional dancers have performed with Metropolitan Opera Ballet, Ballet Arizona, Moscow Ballet and Polish National Ballet. The Sedona performance is choreographed by Rachel Cahayla Wynne, a former artist with the Louisville Ballet Company, with assistance from Kara Hanretty, a former artist with Ballet Arizona, and Patricia Quillian from Danse Sedona and Ballet Tennessee.
