What is quickly becoming Sedona’s favorite Thanksgiving tradition, the 7th First Annual Sedona Turkey Trot 5K, waddles through Posse Grounds Park on Nov. 24 at 9 a.m. The race, presented by Sedona Running Company, includes the Iron Turkey Challenge where racers compete carrying their Thanksgiving turkeys. Registration for the out-and-back race is $35 or $40 the morning of the event, though the majority of the time it is sold out come race day. An awards ceremony immediately follows the trot, so the entire event wraps up by 10:45 a.m., before it’s time to slice the pumpkin pie.
