Love art? Love to shop? Eager to get a jump on holiday gift giving? Then you want to be at the 26th Annual Sedona Arts Festival Oct. 8-9 at Sedona Red Rock High School. The festival will feature up to 125 juried artists from across the country representing a variety of mediums. Highlights include the wood carvings of renowned Oaxacan artist Mario Castellanos Gonzalez, an exhibit featuring Best of Show winners from previous festivals and the Sedona Sacred Artist Tent showcasing local artists and their spiritual artwork. There will also be live music, food and a kids’ zone.
Tickets for the Sedona Arts Festival are $10 in advance and $12 at the gate. Children 12 and younger get in for free. Proceeds from the event benefit the Sedona Arts Festival Scholarship and Grant Fund, which supports arts education in Sedona and the Verde Valley. Since the festival began, it has raised almost $300,000. The festival is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
