Interested in improving your health? Check out Pure Living Expo, which takes place July 23-27 at Hilton Sedona Resort & Spa. The expo features presentations, workshops, chef demos, yoga classes, vendors, private sessions, live music and nightly parties. Nosh on plant-based foods at the Pure Living Cafe, watch speed-painter Michael Ostaski paint portraits and enjoy music by Rebecca Ramsey, violinist for Celine Dion, and Ted Mason from the Brit-rock band Modern English. On Friday night, the black-tie-optional Pure Living Awards Dinner will recognize individuals making a difference in the movement. Chireya Fox, founder and CEO of Pure Living Expo and Pure Living Foundation, says the event began in 2007 as the Raw Living Expo, but it has since expanded to include gluten-free, vegan and healthy eating options.
“The raw food movement got a bad rep for being the food police,” says Chireya. “But that’s not what we are about. Everyone is welcome. We want to present powerful options to show people what plant-based living can do for your health – how it can help you overcome illnesses, cleanse your system, supplement your diet and lead a healthy life.”
Tickets to the expo range from $25 for individual classes to $888 for VIP passes. For more info, visit www.purelivingexpo.com or call 310-601-8308. – Erika Ayn Finch. Photo by D. Felton.
