This past July, Goldenstein Gallery and L’Auberge de Sedona launched Artist in Residence, a monthly program at L’Auberge featuring demonstrations by local and visiting artists. The program continues this month with demonstrations by Sherab Khandro, Mike Medow, Jourdan Dern, Kevin McCarthy and Cheston Trammel, to name just a few. Linda Goldenstein, owner of Goldenstein Gallery and L’Auberge’s new curator of art, says the resort has been focused on incorporating local artists since its remodel this summer. L’Auberge is also refreshing its guest rooms to include prints from local artists and offering private art lessons to its guests. Linda says the partnership between the resort and artists is taking the guest experience to the next level.
“The demonstrations usually happen around brunch, lunch or dinner,” says Linda, “so resort guests and locals are planning their meals around their favorite artists. And the artists just love it, though they aren’t getting much work done because they are having so much fun talking to people.”
