Before your romantic weekend comes to an end and you return to reality, shop for a little special something that will always make you remember your romantic Valentine’s Day weekend in Sedona. First, head to Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village to wander along cobblestone streets and through courtyards with beautiful fountains. Grab coffee at Secret Garden Cafe, and then shop for everything from art and jewelry to music boxes and eco-friendly bath products. Sample liqueurs, wine and oils from all over the world and listen to local musicians performing al fresco. Next, head to Hillside Sedona to browse for art, items for your home, olive oil, clothing and even chocolates. If you’re hungry for lunch, Hillside offers several options from elegant Shugrue’s Hillside Grill to Vietnamese cuisine at the newly opened Tea Light Café.
As an alternative for those of you who love adventure, rise with the sun and take a hot air balloon flight over Red Rock Country. The balloons all launch at dawn, so make sure you bundle up against the cold. There are two balloon companies in the area, and both end flights with a light picnic. If you don’t mind the early wake-up call and the cold temperatures, a flight above Sedona and the Verde Valley is a priceless memory.
