Carruth Trail, located just a stone's throw from Hwy 89A, is a relatively short, gentle stroll, but man-oh-man - what incredible views! Almost every step of the way you'll see a splendid, wide-open tableau, with little or Think of this smoothly graded pathway - located near the Posse Grounds and residential subdivisions in West Sedona - as nature's red carpet, providing perhaps the least arduous way to get an eyeful of our town's amazing natural splendor. Because it's so smooth, the trail is an attractive setting for biking too. Carruth Trail winds northward through a textbook example of Pinon-Juniper Forest, and is clearly marked with helpful signs that answer questions you may have about the landscape. Here, Sedona's unique red rock geologic formations are enhanced by the varied textures and shades of more or less evergreen growth; revel in the hues on display, both near and far.
