Sedona World Wisdom Days

Co-founders Glenn Scarpelli and Jerry Gilden, along with event coordinator Michelle Grimm, spent 16 months putting together the program for Sedona World Wisdom Days, which takes place Jan. 17-20 at various locations throughout Sedona. The four-day event features workshops, films, a book fair and keynote addresses by philosopher Jean Houston, author don Miguel Ruiz and actress-author Mackenzie Phillips. “Sedona World Wisdom Days is based on four pillars: culture, creativity, wellness and education,” says Glenn. “That means something different to everyone. I see this as a soulful celebration – a Sedona party.”

Workshop topics include meditation, nutrition, dreams, spirituality, art and ancient cultures, to name just a few. Glenn says while half of the presenters are from Sedona, the other half herald from across the country.

Keynote addresses and many workshops take place at the Sedona Performing Arts Center (995 Upper Red Rock Loop Road). A pass to World Wisdom Days is $395. Tickets to individual workshops range from $50 to $100. For a complete schedule, visit www.sedonaworldwisdomdays.com. – Erika Ayn Finch
